The Rhythm Horizon content system consists of 3 parts: SONGS, CHARTS, and PACKS. The term CONTENT is often used to refer to songs, charts, and packs collectively.
Generally, the content system allows you to add, remove, modify, and share the songs, charts, or packs independent of each other. The only limitation is that the game’s content system will not allow you to add a chart if you don’t have the song for that chart, and it will not allow you to add a pack if you are missing any of the charts in the pack.

Rhythm Horizon content can be either DRAFT or FINALIZED. DRAFT content can be modified, FINALIZED content cannot be modified. If you want to make changes to a finalized chart, you’ll have to make a copy of the chart. Charts cannot be finalized if their song is draft, and packs cannot be finalized if any of their charts are draft. Scores will be tracked for any finalized charts on the server.
The content files for Rhythm Horizon are managed by the game. Any adding, removing, or modifying of content should only be done through the game. Manually modifying content files may result in bad things.
All of our licensed songs can be downloaded through the game. Any chart written for a licensed song can be uploaded to the server to be shared. Scores will be tracked for any finalized charts on the server. All songs on the server are finalized, but charts can be uploaded either as draft or finalized. Whenever finalized content on the server is changed, updates will download automatically (typically sync fixes, graphic changes, fixing typos, etc).
The CONTENT BROWSER is opened automatically when you go to the editor. If you close it, you can re-open it by pressing “Ctrl+O”, or by clicking on the FILE menu in the upper left and selecting CONTENT BROWSER.
